Services & Pricing

Adoption Home Study
($900)

An adoption home study is required for your adoption placement. This service includes:

  • Interview as a couple
  • Individual interviews
  • Home site visit
  • Background screenings
  • Medical forms
  • Financial information
  • Birth certificates (copy)
  • Marriage certificate (copy)
  • Copy of divorce decree (if applicable)

The home study will be completed in accordance with the laws of the state of Utah. You will receive 2 certified copies of your home study. Our goal is to provide your adoption home study as quickly as possible We appreciate couples who are excited and committed to the world of adoption. We would like your adoption home study to be completed in a maximum of 90 days. An original home study is good for five years with yearly updates required.

Home Study Update
($400)

An adoption home study is required by State law to be updated annually for your adoption placement. This service includes:

  • Interview as a couple
  • Home site visit
  • Background screenings
  • Medical forms
  • Financial information
  • Birth certificates (copy)
  • Marriage certificate (copy)
  • Copy of divorce decree (if applicable)

The adoptive study update will be completed in accordance with the laws of the state of Utah. You will receive 2 certified copies of your home study update. Please provide a copy of your adoption home study if we did not complete it.

Post Placement
($300 per visit)

It may take up to 6 months to finalize your adoption following placement. The State of Utah requires one visit in your home following the placement of your child to ensure that bonding and attachment is occurring for everyone in the family. Our services includes:

  • Visit to your home
  • Written report of visit
  • Report sent to your attorney

You will receive 2 certified copies of your supervisory visit. Please note that adoptions occurring out of state may require multiple post placement visits.

Adoption Education/Guidance
($55/hour)

We would love to give you guidance as you seek to create an adoption placement. Sometimes the world of adoption can include some unexpected ups and downs. Please allow us to be of assistance to you as you navigate towards your adoption placement and as you manage your life post placement. Some examples may include:

  • Adoption profile building assistance
  • Marketing your adoption
  • Correspondence with potential birth parents
  • Building and maintaining successful open adoption relationships
  • Face to face meetings
  • Support through birth and placement
  • Gifts for birth parents
  • Support with extended birth families
  • Mediation
  • Life following your adoption placement
  • Processing the highs and lows associated with adoption
Expectant and Birth Parent Counseling
($95/Hour)

We are eager and happy to provide counseling for expectant parent(s) as they consider their options or prepare to place and for birth parent(s) after placement.

For individuals with an adoption plan, we can provide the following:

  • Navigating the world of adoption
  • Hospital plan preparation
  • Grief counseling
  • Building communication/relationship with adoptive couple
  • Hospital support
  • Orientation to adoption placement/Relinquishment process
  • Helping extended family with adoption grief

* Utah law requires that adoptive parents offer a minimum of 3 counseling sessions to expectant parents.

Birth Parent Relinquishment
($550 Retainer)

Your attorney may want to utilize a social worker as the court appointed commissioner to take the relinquishment of your birth parent(s). Many times birth parent(s) feel more comfortable with a social workers presence as we can assist in mediating any crisis that may occur. We can coordinate to conduct a relinquishment at the hospital, our office or a place the birth parent feels most comfortable. Unused fees are refunded once all services are provided and the caseworker is no longer needed. Please note that Utah law requires that adoptive parents offer a minimum of 3 counseling sessions to expectant parents.
