Adoption Manager
Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2005. She later went on to receive a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Emily has worked with various populations in the social work field since 2004. She has worked specifically in the adoption field since 2009. Emily joined Millcreek when the started their program in 2014 and stepped into the Adoption Manager position a few years later. Emily specializes in working with expectant parents, birth parents and adoptive parents.
Emily’s therapeutic work experiences includes counseling with adolescents, at-risk youth, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, infertility, etc. Emily cares for the clients she works with and wants to provide support and education to aid them in their goals.
Emily lives in Orem with her husband and 3 boys. She enjoys travel, hiking, live music, attending her boys’ music and sporting events

Hayley Hughes, LCSW
Hayley Hughes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Hayley has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years. Her work history includes Wasatch Mental Health, Intermountain Specialized Abuse Treatment Center, and LDS Family Services. She has been with Millcreek Counseling and Adoption Services for over 8 years. She specializes in working with expectant parents and adoptive couples. She has a love and passion for adoption and enjoys the work she does. Hayley lives in Pleasant Grove with her husband and four children.
Shannon Lyon, LCSW
Shannon Lyon, LCSW
Shannon received an undergraduate degree from Utah State University and then completed her master’s degree in social work at the University of Utah. She loves children and spent the beginning of her career in child welfare with the Division of Child and Family Services, the Christmas Box House, Youth Services, and LDS Family Services’ adoption program. Her love for adoption facilitated ongoing care to adoptees, expectant and birth parents, and adoptive couples in the adoption and mental health settings. To add balance to her life, Shannon loves reading and sewing as well as spending time outside gardening and camping.
Leslie Stobbe, CSW
Leslie Stobbe, CSW
Leslie received both her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from the University of Utah. Leslie has counseled many different populations over the years, but her passion is working with prospective and current adoptive couples, expectant parents and birth parents. She loves building close relationships with her couples and preparing them for the wonderful, life-changing journey of adoption. She also enjoys working with birth parents and helping them navigate the realities of adoption and loss. Leslie is happily married with three children and enjoys camping, skiing, mountain biking, trying new restaurants and relaxing with her family. She resides in Holladay, Utah.
